Benito: Etiqueta Negra and La Campiña hams
Ibéricos Benito is a family business with a broad range of hams and cured products. This page brings together our Benito references and explains why a commercial name should not be confused with an official classification.
Origin and production
The company dates its origins to 1956 and highlights three generations of experience in production and cellar maturation. Its history covers different ranges, rather than a single breed or feeding category.
Our selection at Spanishtaste
In our selection, Etiqueta Negra Benito is a cured ham outside the official Iberico classification scheme, without an official category seal. “Etiqueta Negra” is the commercial product name: it does not mean the black seal for acorn-fed 100% Iberico ham. La Campiña is a white-pig ham. Check each reference when comparing whole pieces and sliced packs.
Choosing your format
A whole ham lets you carve each serving and requires a stable holder and slicing knife. Sliced packs are convenient for smaller portions. The weight of a whole piece includes bone and rind, so it is not the same as the weight of edible slices.
Let chilled slices warm up before serving and follow the storage instructions and consumption date on the label. The products below show current prices, formats and preparation options.

What should I check on each product?
Check the exact product designation, breed percentage where applicable, weight, ingredients and available preparation. The specifications of one reference do not automatically apply to the producer’s entire range.
